2025 is just getting started here, but already we are up to some very exciting things at Flourish Interiors. While we are often focused on expanding our portfolio, this year we have also undertaken an internal project. We are pleased to pull back the curtain today on this effort, by announcing the newly redesigned www.FlourishInteriors.net. Our website has served us well, but we wanted a fresh look with upgraded features, and that is just what the new site is! From a more sophisticated services and portfolio gallery, to a new SHOP page…our all new website is a beautiful reflection of how Flourish has grown and evolved.

In case you are new to Flourish Interiors, allow me to introduce myself—I'm Vanessa Correman-Smith, the founder and lead designer of Flourish Interiors. Born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, I’ve always had a passion for bringing beauty, creativity, and excellence to the spaces where people live, work, and gather. My design journey began with a degree in art from Saint Mary’s College, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude. But it was in 2016 when that passion became a true business endeavor. That year I launched Designed to Flourish, a one-woman design studio focused on creating unique, personalized spaces.

At Flourish Interiors, one of the most important relationships we have is those with realtors. Many of our projects come from realtor referrals and we are so grateful for the opportunities sent our way by our friends in real estate. However, the relationship is indeed a two way street. An interior designer vendor relationship (especially one that has a full range of services like we do at Flourish Interiors) is an important one for realtors to maintain. Here are some ways that we can help realtors realize more success .

Even when we approach our modern or transitional projects, the Flourish Interiors aesthetic is rooted in traditional, french inspired architectural and decorative principles. From a focus on symmetry to a refined classic style, the Flourish brand is cultivated out of distinguished European inspiration. The French Chateau is a special project for us, as it is my own home. As the name would imply, this is a project where subtle Parisian inspiration was traded for a full embrace of French influence and style. Here, I was free to pursue more direct nods to my favorite places in Europe, which can be seen in the herringbone floors, the floor to ceiling traditional millwork, the neoclassical style, and in various imported antique elements such as the salvaged doors that flank the entry to our piano room. We revealed this project this past spring, but we recently went back to photograph Fall the The French Chateau. We hope you enjoy this autumn sequel.

Welcome to The Sophisticated Lodge; this rustic, organic design is a Flourish Interiors custom design project.
