When the architecture stays consistent, personal style gets the chance to do all the talking.

One Foundation, Endless Personality

Designing multiple residences within the same condominium complex presented us with a unique question: what happens when the architectural foundation remains consistent, but the people living within it are totally different? Throughout the condos, many of the permanent selections repeat. From the light wood flooring and soft neutral cabinetry to the warm brass hardware, statement lighting, and crisp wall treatments. Those shared elements establish a cohesive identity for the building and give every residence a polished starting point. But rather than allowing that consistency to make the homes feel identical, we used furnishings, textiles, artwork, and accessories to give each condo its own point of view. The result is a collection of spaces that clearly belong together without feeling the same.

The Details That Tie Every Condo Together

Creating consistency across the development started with a carefully curated palette of architectural finishes. Light-toned wood floors flow through the residences, while warm white and soft neutral walls keep each space bright and versatile. Brass accents appear in cabinet hardware, plumbing fixtures, decorative lighting, and other details, adding just enough warmth against the restrained palette. In the kitchens, neutral cabinetry with pops of navy, white tile, marble waterfall edged countertops, and sculptural range hoods establish a refined look that can support a surprisingly wide range of decorating styles. In the bathrooms, it’s the high-contrast navy and white tile and cabinetry with beautiful custom-varied grout lines. These repeating choices create continuity from condo to condo without dictating how each homeowner lives or decorates.

Because the permanent selections are intentionally timeless, the rooms can change dramatically through furnishings alone. A brass light fixture might feel glamorous alongside velvet and metallic accents in one residence, then relaxed and transitional when paired with leather, natural textures, and classic upholstery in another.

Three Homes, Three Personalities

This is where the project really comes to life. One condo takes a soft, sophisticated approach with creamy upholstery, pale woods, sculptural furniture, and restrained accents that let texture do much of the talking. Another embraces richer color, layering deep blue, green, warm camel, pattern, and an eclectic gallery wall into the same light architectural envelope. A third leans tailored and classic, balancing a cognac leather sectional with cool blue-gray chairs, subtle metallic accents, and plenty of breathing room. The bones may be related, but each finished home immediately tells you something different about the people who live there.

The differences extend beyond the main living spaces, too. In one secondary room, a warm natural-wood loft creates an inviting retreat, while another uses a darker loft, graphic navy rug, sports-inspired artwork, and a game table to create an entirely different mood. Personalization doesn't require changing every finish—it comes from understanding which layers have the greatest impact.

Proof That Personal Style Lives in the Layers

Seeing these condos side by side is a reminder of why we love furnishing and styling projects so much. Architecture gives a home structure, but the layers added afterward are what make that structure feel personal. Furniture silhouettes, upholstery colors, rugs, window treatments, artwork, pillows, lighting accents, and meaningful accessories can completely shift the way an otherwise similar room is experienced. Working within the same established finish palette allowed us to closely hone in on those individual details and create interiors that reflected each client's preferences rather than simply repeating a formula.

The finished residences share a visual thread, but no two tell quite the same story. That's exactly the point: a well-designed foundation shouldn't limit personal expression—it should make room for it. These condos show just how much personality can emerge when thoughtful furnishings are layered onto timeless, consistent architectural selections.
