Step into a whimsical dream, as you enter my daughter's room at The French Chateau. This space is a haven where the imagination of childhood can reign supreme: where tea parties, ballet twirls, and beloved dolls come to life.

Every element in this room was meticulously chosen to celebrate the essence of femininity and her vibrant, youthful spirit. Velvety pink linens adorn the bed, inviting her to sink into a world of comfort and dreaming. Above, a whimsical chandelier adorned with delicate porcelain flowers casts a soft glow, illuminating her space with a touch of magic.

The walls come alive with prints of Paris-themed art, positioned on either side of a grand picture window. These delightful prints serve as quite inspiration, whispering to her to dream big and appreciate the beauty that exists in the world beyond her sanctuary.

The larger dresser in the space provided the ideal forum to style with beautiful objects. Not only does this moment in the room look beautiful to the eye, but it subtly tells the story of who Gabrielle is. A beautiful large photo frame in rose showcases her holding flowers following a dance recital: signaling her love for ballet. A smaller frame captures her and her cousin and is a reminder of one of her favorite people. A perfume bottle rests nearby, holding the fragrance, Gabrielle by Chanel. This is special since it's a scent with her own name. A small silver hand mirror was purchased by Stephen and I in a Parisian antique store as a souvenir and gift. Then a beautiful floral arrangement balances out this assortment of artifacts, and brings Gabrielle's favorite colors all together.

Observing my daughter grow up is akin to immersing myself in the most enchanting novel I have ever read. Each day unfolds with awe-inspiring moments as I witness her ideas, her choice of words, her humor, her boundless creativity, her vivid imagination, and the perfect harmony of her lively spirit and gentle nature. She embodies pure loveliness, and being her mother fills my heart with joy (save the moment she colored on this wallpaper, lol!)

Designing a room for her was an absolute privilege. I aspired to create a space that would encapsulate the magic and wonder she exudes, if such a feat were even possible. Now, when I step into her room, even when she is away at school or visiting her grandmother, I am enveloped in her essence. And THAT is the aim of good design — the ability to manifest the spirit and likeness of its occupant.
