Au revoir, Summer!

Each year, I find myself torn between savoring the summer days and embracing the impending beauty of fall. While my children are happily still begging to swim each evening, when my husband and I come home from work…I am busy buying them new backpacks, uniforms and school supples behind the scenes. I don’t want to rain on their summer parade, but I have to be prepared for the fall and it’s relentless schedule intensity.

As designers, our inspiration is inherently linked to the seasonal shifts as well. In spring and summer, I find myself drawn to those coastal palettes, floral patterns, and woven materials. But as summer gives way to fall, the cozy season has a way of evolving our mood boards into richer hues, moodier lighting, and warmer fabrics.
